Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) Awareness Month
Integrated Learning Strategies (ILS) is a learning and academic center. As a reminder, ILS is not a health care provider and none of our materials or services provide a diagnosis or treatment of a specific condition or learning challenge you may see in your child or student. If you seek a diagnosis or treatment for your child or student, please contact a trained professional who can provide an evaluation of the child.
You may not have realized it, but October is Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) Awareness month and we are spreading the word about how to help children and adults with SPD. This is a great time and opportunity for us to create more awareness among parents, not only about the signs and symptoms, but also how they can help their children in school and at home.
For that reason, we are teaming up with The Sensory Spectrum to spread the word for National Sensory Awareness Month. If you have not heard of Thunderclap, it allows people like you to Tweet or Facebook message on the same day in support of a cause or to create awareness. The best part is it only takes 20 seconds of your time to spread the word and get our message trending on social media.
Today, Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Noon CT, click here or the image below to tweet or Facebook the following message:
I love someone with Sensory Processing Disorder #SensoryAwareness #Sensory
It takes less than 20 seconds, but Thunderclap requires at least 100 participants to send the message out. Send your message now in just two clicks. Simple as that!
Please share with your family and friends so they can join us in this cause too.
Thank you to all the families and parents that support us to make a difference in lives of your children.
