High Frequency Sounds High-frequency sounds have a stimulating effect on the brain, making it more alert and focused. The cochlea, with its hair cells, translates frequencies into sounds and particularly benefits from high frequencies due to the larger number of cells in the high frequency zone. These sounds carry more energy, contributing to their brain-energizing effect.

Low Frequency Sounds Low frequency sounds, which activate the saccule in the ear, evoke a desire to move due to their rhythmic nature. However, excessive exposure to these sounds can lead to exhaustion and even trance-like states. Low frequency sounds have been historically used for manipulation, like in Adolf Hitler's speeches accompanied by drumming to induce a hypnotic trance.

In educational settings, such as classrooms, this balanced mix is important.
